FIREFIGHTERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Firefighters Junior Football Club recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying. It will uphold the FA Child Protection Standards and ensure that in providing football opportunities for children and young people it will do so to the very highest possible standards of care. These standards will apply to all officers of the club or adults involved in the club, whether volunteers, referees, club officials, helpers on club tours, football coaches or medical staff. All officials will undergo the full FA disclosure procedure as conducted and endorsed by the FA whilst retaining individual confidentiality. Firefighters Junior Football Club will take appropriate action as a result of these checks.
ONGOING DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
Firefighters Junior Football Club will provide ongoing development and training opportunities for all registered coaches whether by staff development courses: through the County Football Association and through the process of attaining and maintaining the Charter Standard Award. Firefighters Junior Football Club will ensure that everyone involved in the Club knows exactly what is expected from them in relation to the protection of children and young people in our sport. The designated child protection officer, can be clearly identified and retains this reference until the next AGM.
