Firefighters Junior Football Club

About Us

The Firefighters Junior Football club was founded in 1995 by a group of Firefighters and their friends who wanted to put together a team so that children could enjoy playing football within a community atmosphere. The club continues to maintain an association with the fire service and are proud to bear the name 'Firefighters'.

We compete in the Coventry based John Bryan Minor League and are a community Club that look to encourage young people to play football in a structured and safe environment. We have an excellent team of FA Qualified coaches and managers who aim to develop and improve the skills of every player whilst also making sure that they have a lot of fun in the process.

It is the clubs philosophy to provide a fun and social club aside from the football & believe that football is a great forum to teach the children not only basic skills, but also all the other aspects such as discipline and fair play and the total rejection of any form of discrimination in sport. All of the officials and helpers are volunteers and give a tremendous amount of their time so that young people can enjoy playing football.

We work with children from the age of 5 within our development squad and have teams spanning age groups from Under 7s to Under 16s. We play our home games at The Woodlands School & Sports College in Eastern Green and participate across Coventry and surrounding areas, competing with some of the best teams in the city at all age groups and ability levels.
